Types of Woods:

Over long history of furniture crafting, woods have been used in various ways to give rise to plethora of styles. We use different types of woods like particle board, medium density fibre board, waterproof plywood and many more. Particle Board comprises of wood chips glued together and pressed to form sheets, It bends well because it has low density and weight, It helps to reduce construction costs and are available in wide variety of colour options as well. Medium Density Fibre Board is an engineered wood pulp, made by breaking down real wood remnants into wood fibers. It is then glued using special resin and by applying high pressure and temperature. It is available in a variety of colours, textures and shades. It is cheaper than plywood,It is a good substrate for veneer.Being consistent, its edges remain smooth without any splinters or voids. The advantage of having smooth edges is that it can take on decorative edges, scalloped or scroll designs.Waterproof Plywood has high resistance to water exposure, in fact much better than solid wood and can be covered with decorative laminates or veneers giving it a finish that suits your needs. It can withstand severe temperatures. It is highly durable. The grains of the veneers of this wood are perpendicular to each other, thus preventing any possibility of warping and instead making it stronger. It is borer and termite-free.
